Stick or twist?

For people who are good at their job, and secretly wondering if it's still the right one.

You don't hate your job.

That's the problem.

It'd be easier if you did. Hating it would give you a reason. A push. Permission to go.

Instead there's nothing obviously wrong. So you talk yourself round with the same two lines.

"There's nothing better out there anyway." The grass isn't greener.

"It's just a phase. It'll pass." Don't make a fuss.

Those aren't reasons.
They're the stories that keep you exactly where you are.

One says the grass isn't greener. The other says wait it out. Both let you off the hook. Both keep you flat. And you wait for a feeling that never quite passes.

How long has it been now?

Most career advice is built for people who already know where they're going.

Fix the CV. Prep the interviews. Tidy the LinkedIn. None of it works when you're not even sure there's somewhere else you want to be.

That not-knowing isn't a flaw in you. It's the actual problem to solve. And it's solvable. Not by thinking harder, but by getting clear on what matters and testing some new moves.

How the sprint works

Four conversations over four weeks. A 30-minute kickoff to get started, then three focused coaching hours.

Between them you do short guided pre-work, so the digging happens on your own time and every session is spent on the thinking only a coach can pull out of you.

1

Where you are,
and who you are

We start by mapping where you are now, holding your current role up against what actually matters. Then you dig into your values, your signature strengths, and what drives and drains you. We pull it together into your Spark Point, and see the gap between that and how you spend your time.

2

What's possible, and what's stopping you

First we open up what you actually want, with no self-editing. What would you do without fear? What do you envy in others? Then we turn to what shuts that down, and take apart the stories keeping you stuck.

3

Script your first moves

ou pull everything together into your Ignition Board, then design a 90-day plan of small, low-risk experiments. Not a leap into the dark. A first real move you'll actually make, and the momentum to keep going after we finish.

You come in stuck. You leave with a way forward.

You arrive feeling like there's no good option and no way through. You leave with a clear sense of who you are, real optimism about what's next, and actual moves to go and explore.

And you don't just leave with the feeling. You leave with the tools to keep it:

Your decision filter

Where your values, your signature strengths, and what actually lights you up all meet. Once you can see it, every decision gets easier, because now you've got something worth measuring against.

Your action board

A visual tool that keeps your brain tuned to what matters, so you notice the opportunities and keep taking action. You build it across the sprint, so the momentum carries on long after our four weeks.

A 90-day experiment plan

Small, low-risk moves to test your direction. Not a giant leap into the dark. Clear first steps you'll actually make.

An honest answer

A clear read on what's actually the problem, and what to do about it. Stick or twist, you can stop carrying the question around.

This is for you if...

You're ready to do work that actually lights you up.

Not just work that looks good on paper, or a job title that impresses your friends.

You're tired of "fine."

Fine pays the bills and quietly takes years off you.

You're ready to question the stories you've been telling yourself.

"Nothing better out there." "It's just a phase." Those ones.

You can be honest with yourself, even when the honest answer is inconvenient.

Especially then.

You'd rather test something than keep waiting for certainty to arrive.

It isn't coming. You go and get it.

This isn't for you if...

You just want the next title or the bigger number, and what makes you happy isn't part of the maths.

That's a fine goal. It just isn't the one I coach for.

You want to spend the time working through the past.

This is about the future, and how you move forward.

You want the exit sorted by Friday.

Real pivots are slower than that, and I won't pretend otherwise.

Working with Camilla

Toys. Booze. Baby Oil. Barcodes.

My CV makes no sense to anyone else, and I'm ok with that.

We're sold a lie that a career should be a ladder.

Straight up, each rung obvious.

So when the logical next step leaves you cold, you assume something's wrong with you. It isn't.

The most alive I've ever been at work came right after the moves that made no sense.

I coach people through exactly that moment. Direct and honest, always through genuine care. I won't tell you what to do. I'll help you work out what you actually want, and back yourself to go after it.

I'm Camilla Young. I've had a gloriously non-linear career, toys, drinks, personal care, and now retail tech, where I still work day to day. I'm also a qualified Level 7 senior executive coach and mentor. I coach around a real job, with real deadlines and real politics, because I think that makes me better at it.

And if we already know each other professionally: reaching out commits you to nothing, I won't think less of anyone for it (in fact quite the opposite), and I never tell anyone who I'm working with. What's said stays with me.

The full 4 week programme

3 x 1:1 coaching sessions
Guided reflection work between them

You leave with: A decision filter, a personal action plan, and an honest answer about what really matters

Before you ask...

How much time will it take?

A 30-minute kick-off call and three 1-hour sessions across four weeks, plus around four hours of self-guided exercises. It's designed to fit around a full-time job, because you have one.

What if I genuinely don't know what I want?

That's exactly who this is built for. Most career help assumes you already know. This one starts from the not-knowing and treats it as the thing to solve, not a problem with you.

A 4 week programme. Is that really enough?

Career pivots take time, and my clients will typically work with me for 6-9 months. What this programme covers is the first part of the journey. We get you unstuck, give you a decision filter, clear the beliefs keeping you put, and send you out with real directions to test. The sprint gets you to the starting line, and the self-led work between sessions does more of the heavy lifting than you'd expect. The answer comes from the experiments, and if you need further support to achieve your goals you can upgrade to additional 1:1 sessions at the end of the programme.

What if I'm not ready to quit?

Plenty of people I coach through this don't leave. The point is to answer the question honestly, and sometimes the honest answer is stay, on your own terms rather than by default. If the answer is go, you leave with a plan to start moving in that direction. Either way you stop carrying it around.

Leave your details and I'll be in touch. Ask me anything, or just tell me you're curious. Reaching out commits you to nothing, and there's no pitch and no pressure.

Thank you, that took more than you might think. I'll be in touch soon, no hard sell, just a proper conversation about whether this is right for you.
