Frequently asked questions
01
What is coaching and how can it help me?
Coaching is a collaborative partnership where we work together to unlock your potential. Your coach isn't here to offer advice or tell you what to do, instead our goal is to empower you to find your the answers within yourself.
In a coaching partnership, it’s the coachee, not the coach, who sets the goals, defines the playbook, and determines what success looks like. Your coach creates a safe haven for you to explore your thoughts, dive deep into your consciousness, and truly understand your motivations. They also provide expertise, bringing insight, perspective, and creativity to the coaching relationship.

Picture it as a dynamic conversation crafted just for you. We're here to lend an ear, pose the questions that push your boundaries, provide unwavering support, and most importantly, help spark those rebellious flames within you! Together, we'll navigate your aspirations and empower you to turn them into reality.

What will happen when I’m being coached?
All coaching relationships start with an initial exploratory call, this is free and the opportunity for us to check the chemistry between us, discuss your initial goal and talk through which coaching package would be most appropriate. Following that call we both have time to reflect and decide whether to go ahead with a coaching partnership.
If you've signed up to the full Rebel package then you'll be sent a pre-coaching questionnaire, this helps you to spark some initial thinking and also provides your coach with some background and insight- helping to ensure that you get the most out of your face to face sessions.
Most clients will opt to be coached online via Teams, and we aim to have 2 sessions per month (there is some flex here to accommodate busy work/life dynamic!). During your coaching session you’ll be asked questions which are designed to stretch you and help you think in new ways. You’ll end up doing much more thinking on your own following your coaching conversations, and sometimes there'll be optional homework too.

You will be expected to take your own notes, and take ownership for your own progress. Your coach is here to support, facilitate and champion you, but they can't make you take action!

What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching and therapy are both powerful processes, but they have distinct focuses. Therapy often delves into the past to address and heal emotional wounds, aiming to improve mental health and well-being.

On the other hand, coaching is future-oriented and goal-driven. Whilst it can be therapeutic, it's about enhancing your present and future by identifying goals, overcoming obstacles, and unlocking your potential. Think of it as a forward-facing journey, helping you achieve personal and professional aspirations.

While therapy addresses emotional and psychological issues, coaching is more about optimizing your current situation and propelling you toward your desired future. It's not about fixing what's broken; it's about amplifying what's already extraordinary within you. Both are valuable, but they serve different purposes based on your needs and objectives.
